Welcome and thanks for visiting my website!

Chinese Medicine is as relevant today as it was over two thousand years ago when it was first developed.  Human disease has changed little in the past five thousand years.  Yes, there has been an incredible reduction in infectious diseases thanks to improved hygiene, sanitation, and vaccinations over the years; but the main health hazards that faced the ancient Chinese are still prevalent today.

These risks to health include the physical and emotional stress caused by living in large complex societies, overcrowding, adverse environmental factors, lack of exercise, overwork, and poor sleeping habits.

As a consequence, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, infertility, impotence, asthma, allergic disorders, gastrointestinal and urogenital disorders, acute and chronic pain, arthritis, rheumatism, anxiety and depression among others are widespread.

These diseases represent the general malaise of civilization and no single medical approach can solve all these problems for all people.

Chinese medicine has survived for thousands of years for the very reason that it has been highly effective in addressing the wide range of human ailments.

Most people don’t think about health until they feel sick or out of balance.  Usually we are too busy keeping up with life’s daily responsibilities or focused on caring for others.

Wellness is more than just not feeling sick.  It means one is functioning at their highest possible level allowing one to meet the demands of life.  Being in a state of wellness means that the body is in harmony, the mind is alert, the spirit is calm thus helping one thrive in the face of environmental, physical, emotional, and mental stresses.

Wellness care can boost one’s energy and help people become more in tune with their bodies.  It keeps minor issues from becoming major problems.

Chinese Medicine can help you all achieve and maintain this level of wellness.  It is a great way to take a proactive approach to your health.  In working with your practitioner, you may discover factors that affect your health, including your lifestyle and emotional and mental states.  Use regular visits to discuss how exercise, nutrition, supplements, meditation, or other lifestyle changes can help you.

"I've heard of people in ancient times, who knew the secrets of the universe and held yin and yang, the world, in the palms of their hands.  They extracted essence from nature and practiced various disciplines such as Dao Yin, Qi Gong, and breathing and visualization exercises to integrate their body, mind, and spirit.  They remained undisturbed and thus attained extraordinary levels of accomplishment." - The Yellow Emperor 2500 B.C.
